Barbara BLINN Caswell Diehl  lived in Canon City, Colorado until her death on October 5, 2011 in the afternoon. Barbara was a retired accountant. She has two children, Eric and Mattew Caswell) , nine grandchildren (one of whom is deceased), and a great grandchild! Her husband of 38 years, Christopher Diehl, died in January, 2005; her sister Maris died a few months later. As Barbara said on her Facebook page, "  My health took a nose dive after that and I am not able to do many of the things I did in the past. I became a very patient person as I got older so I am content with my quiet fairly inactive life."

Her son Rick Caswell wrote :

My mom died at a little after 3 this afternoon, she was in her bed, with her dog and with my daughter Sarah by her side. I spoke to her on the phone not 15 minutes before she passed, but arrived just a few minutes too late. But even at the very end, she was still Barbara, she was still there.

She was a hell of a woman and I'm proud to be her son.

I loved her very much.
